Course Description:
Foundation of Teaching: Being a Teacher Programme is for anyone who is teaching or who would like to teach, in any subject. This programme will develop skills in teaching, professionalism, assessment etc.
This programme considers three domains of being a teacher: Professional knowledge and Understanding; Professional Practice and Professional Value with relationships.
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree from any recognized Indian University.
OR
Completed Degree in Teacher Education from any state.
Objective of the Program:
- To develop understanding into fundamental of Teaching.
- To develop personal and professional skill as a teacher.
- To enhance your knowledge and understanding of how to promote learning.
- To get opportunity for professional development.
- To shape character and behavior as a teacher.
- To develop social skills.
- To assist the school for being a teacher.
Program Outcome:
These courses will emphasis what candidates can do to act professionally as a teacher. This includes developing their own philosophy of teaching and making sure that you continue to improve your knowledge and skills. It also enhances knowledge and understanding of how to promote learning.
Course Structure:
THEORY:
Course: 1 Foundations of Teaching : Being a Teacher
Course: 2 Core Teaching Skills.
PRACTICUM:
Subject specific Work to be selflessly assessed by the concerned teacher.
Extension/ Field/ Experimental Work/ Open book tests/ Written Assignments/
Case Study/ Action Research/ Projects/ Classroom Work/ Lesson in school etc. for
which marks will be given by the concerned teacher.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
Total Marks : 100
Internal Assessment for each Course : 80 Marks (40 Marks per paper)
External Assessment for each Course : 120 Marks (60 Marks per paper)
